Synopsis
Rettai Vaalu is a 2014 Indian Tamil language romantic drama film written and directed by Desika.
The film stars Akhil and Saranya Nag, and was released in September 2014.
Sekar, a thief, falls in love with Anjali, a local girl. However, their relationship is threatened when Sekar's criminal activities are discovered by his parents, who arrange for the couple to marry. On the night before the wedding, Sekar's cronies try to sell Anjali into slavery, leading him on a quest to rescue her.
Anjali is injured during the attempt to sell her, and while hospitalized, she is thrown from a car by slave traders who learn of Sekar's murder of a woman involved in the slavery business. Sekar eventually finds Anjali and kills those responsible for her sale.
