Puthiya Bruce Lee is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language martial arts film directed by Mulaiyur A. Sonai and starring Bruce in his acting debut, alongside Raziya and Ashwanth Thilak.
The film centers on the legacy of Bruce Lee's style of actions and follows the story of Bruce, who lives in a village near mountain ranges with his mother. He functions as the primary protector for his community, using his unique skills to manage their safety.
Tragedy strikes when Bruce's mother succumbs to injuries from a fire that engulfs their shared hut. Following her death, Bruce is taken away by his uncle, Thennavan Duraisamy, and they journey to Madurai city. However, the community members persuade Thennavan Duraisamy to send Bruce back, recognizing his presence as crucial for their security.
The story then shifts to Thennavan Duraisamy's internal conflict: a business dispute concerning the sale of his real estate property in Madurai. His friend faces difficulties acquiring the land due to persistent interruptions orchestrated by an opposing businessperson.
The film explores Bruce navigating two distinct worlds – the perilous rural setting demanding immediate action and the urban environment where his uncle requires him for help resolving past conflicts.
