Synopsis
Poojai is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Hari and produced by Vishal.
The film stars Vishal, alongside Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Mukesh Tiwari, Awadesh Mishra and Soori.
Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music for the film, while cinematography was handled by Priyan and editing by V. T. Vijayan.
Principal photography began on 18 April 2014, and the film was released on 22 October 2014, on the occasion of Diwali.
The story revolves around Vasudevan "Vasu" (Vishal), a moneylender who gets caught up in a planned attempt to kill a police officer by a mysterious gang. He takes on the entire gang singlehandedly, saving the life of the police officer and setting off a chain of events that puts his family in danger.
