Synopsis
Pokkiri Raja is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language supernatural comedy film directed by Ramprakash Rayappa.
The film stars Jiiva, Sibiraj (as "Cooling Glass" Guna), and Hansika Motwani.
Sanjeevi (Jiiva) faces personal problems after being fired from his previous job and dumped by his girlfriend. He finds new employment where he encounters Raghav (Manobala). Simultaneously, Sanjeevi meets Sunita (Hansika Motwani), but is misled by his friend Mojo (Yogi Babu) into believing she has a secret drug addiction problem.
Despite this false information, Sanjeevi and Sunita develop feelings for each other. Sanjeevi discovers the truth about Sunita: she washes people who urinate near walls, which explains her profession to him.
The film also involves Raghav's storyline alongside Guna's (Sibiraj) plot. Guna, known as "Cooling Glass," was planning a murder but gets unexpectedly arrested after being washed by Sanjeevi due to his unique yawning condition.
When Guna is released from prison, he attempts revenge against Sanjeevi and confronts him again. During this encounter, Guna's sunglasses break because of Sanjeevi's uncontrollable yawning, leading to Guna becoming blind as a consequence of the incident.
Pokkiri Raja was written and directed by Ramprakash Rayappa, and it is Jiiva's 25th film. The movie released on March 4, 2016.
