Synopsis
Pattinapakkam is a 2018 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Jayadev and written by himself.
The film stars Kalaiyarasan and Anaswara Kumar in leading roles, alongside Chaya Singh, Manoj K. Jayan, Yog Japee, John Vijay, M. S. Bhaskar, and Charle in supporting roles.
Set in the bustling city of Chennai, the movie follows Vettri Kalaiyarsan, an electrical engineering graduate who chooses not to pursue conventional employment. His life takes a sharp turn when his actions attract unwanted attention from influential individuals, including DC Sathyas Yog Japee, newly appointed police commissioner, and Samudram John Vijay, a notorious loan shark.
The film features music composed by Ishaan Dev and was produced with delays that began in 2015. It finally released in theatres on November 23, 2018, as the remake of Malayalam movie Ee Adutha Kalathu.
