Parole

Parole is a 2022 Tamil film directed by Dwarakh Raja and starring R. S. Karthik.

The narrative explores familial bonds and personal redemption set against the backdrop of the criminal justice system, focusing on two brothers: one a criminal and the other a law-abiding citizen.

Following their mother's unexpected death, the younger brother endeavors to secure the parole of his elder brother in order to fulfill their mother's last rites. The film features R. S. Karthiik, Linga, Kalpika Ganesh, and Monisha Murali in lead roles.

The story is based on the Rashomon effect and revolves around two brothers, Kovalan (R. S. Karthiik) and Karikalan (Linga), whose mother has passed away. The film explores how they feel about each other and how they have ended up where they are.

Production began during mid-2021, with the film being written and directed by Dwarakh Raja, who previously made Kadhal Kasakuthaiya (2016).
