Synopsis
Parari is a 2024 Indian Tamil-language film directed by debutant Ezhil Periyavedi and produced under Kala Films Private Limited banner by Harishankar.
The film stars Harisankar as Maran, Sangeetha Kalyan as Devaki, Guru Rajendran as Vedi, Samrat Suresh as Samrat, Pugazh Mahendran as Jagan, and Brem Nath as Jaya Kumar.
Maran, a man from a lower caste, finds himself enduring hostility from Jai Kumar, which puts his love interest in jeopardy. As Maran and Jai Kumar move to the city for work, they encounter manipulative forces that further fuel the division between them.
The urban environment serves as a backdrop for their ongoing conflict, adding another layer of complexity to their rivalry. The film is set against the backdrop of a feud between two neighboring villages over a hill.
Parari was released in theatres on 22 November 2024 and features music composed by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Sridhar, and editing by Sam RDX.
