Synopsis
Pancharaaksharam is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language supernatural thriller film directed by Balaji Vairamuthu in his directorial debut.
The movie stars Santhosh Prathap, Gokul Anand, Ashwin Jerome, Madhu Shalini, and Sana Althaf in its cast.
Produced under the banner Paradox Productions, the film follows five friends who discover a book containing passages that ominously predict individual futures. As they read these prophetic texts aloud playfully, the grim realities foretold begin to unfold around them, forcing the characters to confront their predetermined destinies.
The film is branded as India's first psychological supernatural adventure thriller film and features an animated prelude set in the 11th century Chola period. The book described in the film is a combination of many books in different languages and the experiences of a saint who wrote it.
