Pachai Vilakku

Pachai Vilakku is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Maran.

The story centers on Dr. Ashwinkumar, a PhD holder in road safety management who works as a college lecturer and part-time Traffic Police Warden. He encounters Subashini, an MBA student, while enforcing traffic rules and promotes road safety awareness. Their encounter sparks an attraction between them.

Parallel to their budding relationship, Subashini's younger sister Vaishnavi gets entangled with individuals posing as drama lovers who coerce her into recording porn videos without her consent. Dr. Ashwin becomes involved in helping Subashini's family and uses his intelligence to investigate and expose the group, ultimately leading them to be arrested and saving Vaishavi.

The film is structured into two parts: the first focuses on road safety rules and regulations interwoven with a developing romantic connection between Dr. Ashwin and Subashini, described as "poetic love". The second half addresses the dangers of misusing phones, particularly how it can affect women in situations like Vaishnavi's.

The film stars Maran, Dheesha, Ammani & Sooraiyadal Flims fame Mahesh, Tara, and Kannada actress Roopika in lead roles. Devendran composed four songs for the film, which was shot in Chennai, National Highway 45, Thiruporur, and Tiruvanamalai.
