Synopsis
Oyee is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Francis Markus and starring Geethan Britto alongside Eesha Rebba.
The plot revolves around Krishna, who leaves his family due to personal differences and his burgeoning love for Gayatri (played by Eesha Rebba). Swetha, another central character played by Geethan Britto, finds herself placed in Krishna's world through a chance encounter and unfortunate circumstances.
Krishna is actively trying to convince his family that Swetha is not the woman he loves. Meanwhile, Gayatri arrives, adding further complexity to their intertwined drama.
The story explores the chaos and emotional turmoil as these characters navigate misunderstandings and relationship challenges against each other's backgrounds.
Geethan Britto and Eesha Rebba star in lead roles, while Papri Ghosh, Nagineedu, Arjunan, and Sangili Murugan play supporting roles. The soundtrack album and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
The film was released on 8 April 2016 and is based on the 2004 South Korean romantic comedy Too Beautiful to Lie.
