Synopsis
Naan Kadavul Illai is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film directed by S. A. Chandrasekhar and starring Samuthirakani and Sakshi Agarwal.
The plot revolves around a small orphan girl who pens a letter to God, asking for new clothes, which lands in the hands of a businessman named Mr. Jothilingam. The film follows two main storylines: Uma's plea to God for divine intervention to protect her family from an impending evil, and Senthooran's struggle to escape from a murderer named Veerappan who seeks revenge on him and his family.
The film was released on 3 March 2023 in a clash against Bagheera (2023) and Ayothi (2023). Production began during October 2020, with S. A. Chandrasekhar launching a directorial venture after media reports suggested that Capmaari (2019) would be his last film. The shoot of the film was completed by 2021, with promotions beginning during September 2021.
Sakshi Agarwal took up stunt training for her action-related role in the film.
