Synopsis
Manal Kayiru 2 is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language comedy-drama film directed by Madhan Kumar.
The movie stars Ashwin Shekhar and features S. Ve. Shekher, Jayashree, and Poorna in lead roles.
The story revolves around Kittumani, a wealthy and successful businessman living with his wife Uma and their teenage daughter Nisha. He harbours resentment towards Nardhar Naidu, who was previously involved in arranging marriages (including Kittumani's own marriage to Uma under false pretences).
Nisha enters the picture with her own agenda. She is not interested in a conventional life and imposes eight specific conditions on any potential groom she might consider marrying.
The film follows Kittumani's attempts to find Nisha an appropriate husband, navigating the complexities of his grudge against Nardhar while dealing with his daughter's unique demands for a suitable partner.
Manal Kayiru 2 serves as a sequel to the 1982 original Manal Kayiru. The film received negative reviews and was a box-office bomb. This is Visu's last film before his death.
