Maareesan

Maareesan is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language drama thriller film directed by Sudheesh Sankar and written by V. Krishna Moorthy.

The film stars Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Dhayalan, a petty thief known as Dhaya, breaks into a house in Kanyakumari and finds an old man, Velayudham Pillai "Velan", chained to a window. Velan warns Dhaya to stay quiet, setting off a chain of events that will alter both their lives.

The film follows the journey of Dhayalan and Velan as they travel across Tamil Nadu, with both men hiding secrets of their own.
