Synopsis
Kuthiraivaal is a 2022 Tamil psychological drama film directed by Manoj Leonel Jahson and Shyam Sunder in their directorial debuts.
The film was written by G. Rajesh and features Kalaiyarasan, Anjali Patil, Sowmya Jaganmurthy, Anand Sami, and Chetan in its cast.
Incorporating magical realism, the film draws loose inspiration from Franz Kafka's novel "The Metamorphosis" and features elements such as a man with a horse tail, a horse without a tail, and a sky where the sun and moon appear simultaneously.
The background score was composed by Martin Visser, while the songs were composed by Pradeep Kumar.
The film gained international recognition for being the first Indian film to be nominated for an international premiere at the Berlin Critics Film Festival.
