Synopsis
Kudimagan is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Sathieshwaran.
The story centers on Kandhan, initially presented as a simple villager who brings luck and happiness to his village. However, his life takes a significant downturn when he becomes addicted to liquor.
The cast includes Jaikumar, Master Akash, and Nanditha Jennifer in the lead roles. Akash Anandan, a 7-year-old anti-TASMAC activist, was chosen to play a role in the film.
Scenes involving Akash were shot during after school hours so that he would not have to skip school. Jayakumar, the grandson of producer Kalaignanam, made his film debut through this film.
The soundtrack was composed by debutant S. M. Prashanth, with songs titled "Deivangal Ingillai" and "Ooru Ulagam".
The film follows Kandhan's journey from a straightforward community member into disrepute due to his developing alcoholism.
