Synopsis
Kaththi Sandai is an Indian Tamil-language action comedy film released on 23 December 2016.
The film stars Vishal and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles, alongside Jagapathi Babu, Vadivelu, Soori, and Tarun Arora.
The movie follows the story of Tamizhselvan, a farmer who becomes a Robin Hood-like figure, stealing vast amounts of money from corrupt landlords and businessmen to fund his village's welfare and development projects.
The plot revolves around Tamizhselvan's interactions with Divya, a psychology student played by Tamannaah Bhatia, who plays a role in stopping him or being involved in key scenes related to the driver he targeted earlier.
The film opens with a dramatic scene where a lorry knocks over a police motorcycle and destroys another vehicle, revealing ₹300 crores in cash inside.
The project began production in May 2016 and ended that November. The film was written and directed by Suraj, produced by S. Nanthagopal.
