Kaayal

Kaayal is a 2025 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Dhamayanthi.

The film stars Lingesh, Gayathrie Shankar, Anumol, Ramesh Thilak, Swagatha Krishnan, Issac Varghese, and Bharath in the lead roles, alongside other notable actors.

Produced by Jesu Sundaramaran under J Studios, the film was extensively shot in coastal areas and features cinematography by Karthick Subramanian, editing by B. Pravin Baaskar, and music composed by Justin Khenaniah.

The story follows a suicide prevention activist who takes her life after six months of marriage, with her family traveling to Dhanushkodi for immersion, joined by her former love interest.

The film was released in theatres on 12 September 2025.
