Kaaviya Thalaivan

Kaaviya Thalaivan is a 2014 Tamil historical fiction film written and directed by Vasanthabalan.

The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Siddharth, Vedhika, and Anaika Soti in the lead roles.

The movie follows the story of two disciples of Sivadas Swamigal, a drama school owner who pits them against each other, leading to their separation. Years later, they cross paths again during the Indian Independence Movement, allowing for a turn of events.

A. R. Rahman composed the original songs and score for the film, with a research period of six months prior to recording. The majority of tracks were recorded over nine months, beginning in October 2012.

The soundtrack album was released on October 31, 2014, and includes three singles: "Vaanga Makka Vaanga", "Yaarumilla", and "Aye Mr. Minor!".
