Synopsis
Johnny is an action thriller film released in 2018, directed by Pa. Vetriselvan and produced alongside writing by Thiagarajan.
The story revolves around five business partners who are members of a popular club. They become aware of a lucrative financial opportunity presented to them.
However, the plot takes a dark turn as one of these partners harbours secret intentions. This individual plans not only to exploit the deal but also to abscond with the proceeds and leave the country.
The central conflict emerges from this betrayal within their group. The partner's scheme involves taking his girlfriend away with him after acquiring the money, intending to escape justice or scrutiny.
The film stars Prashanth as one of the key figures involved, alongside Sanchita Shetty and other actors including Prabhu, Anandaraj, Ashutosh Rana, Aathma Patrick, and Sayaji Shinde.
Johnny is a remake of the 2007 Hindi film "Johnny Gaddaar," following its predecessor's storyline concerning deceit and crime among associates pursuing wealth.
The film was released on 14 December 2018.
