Synopsis
Ivan Thanthiran is a 2017 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by R. Kannan.
The movie centers on two engineering students who have recently dropped out of their studies and uncover the corrupt activities surrounding the institution's education minister, who owns multiple engineering colleges through illicit means.
Upon discovering this scheme and the minister's involvement, the protagonists decide to expose him publicly. However, their investigation attracts unwanted attention from the minister himself, who learns of it and initiates a manhunt for them.
The film follows these two students as they attempt to bring down the corrupt education minister. The movie sets up an intense cat-and-mouse game between the protagonists trying to reveal the truth and the antagonist pursuing them relentlessly throughout the narrative.
The film features Gautham Karthik and Shraddha Srinath in the lead roles, while RJ Balaji and Super Subbarayan play supporting roles. The movie was released on June 30, 2017, to positive reviews and eventually became a sleeper hit success.
