
Gnana Kirukkan is a 2014 Indian Tamil language drama film written, produced and directed by Ilayadevan.
The movie stars Jega as Veera Perumal, who was born to Ganesh (Daniel Balaji) and Thangammal (Senthi Kumari). After his birth, Ganesh loses his mind and tries to kill the newborn but fails. Veera grows into a teenager and decides to leave his village in search of a job and a better life.
He finds work as a dishwasher in a hotel and later becomes a room boy in a lodge due to his hard work and loyalty. Veera starts saving money to return home with gifts for his family. However, he faces unfortunate circumstances that lead him to travel to Chennai in search of work.
There, he meets Sumathi (Archana Kavi), an innocent girl being mistreated by people. Veera decides to help her and gains a liking for her. The movie follows how he helps her and tries to become a better person despite his troubled past.
The film was produced by Ilayadevan under Thangammal Movie Makers, with Raja Mohammad editing the movie and Taj Noor composing the song and background music score.
