Aaruthra

Aaruthra is a 2018 Tamil-language film directed by Pa. Vijay and produced by him. The movie stars Pa. Vijay alongside Meghali, with supporting roles played by S.A. Chandrasekhar and Bhagyaraj.

The story revolves around Avudaiappan, a private detective who develops suspicion over Shiva, who lives with his family in Chennai. A flashback reveals Shiva's tragic past, where he seeks revenge on those responsible for the death of his family members.

Shiva's backstory shows that he was betrayed by his friend Nambi, leading to the rape and murder of his sister Aaruthra. His parents also died, leaving Shiva shattered and vowing to seek revenge. The film ends with Shiva killing Nambi, thus avenging his family's death.
