Aal

Aal is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Ananda Krishnan and produced by Vidiyal Raju.

The film stars Vidharth, Hardika Shetty, and Vidiyal Raju in lead roles as Aamir, a college professor in Sikkim who befriends Rizwan, a Muslim student targeted by other students.

Aamir is blackmailed into completing tasks by mysterious men, leading to a desperate situation with his family held captive. The film explores how ordinary life can take an extraordinary turn.

The background score and soundtrack were composed by Johan Shevanesh, while cinematography was handled by N. S. Uthayakumar and editing by M. Ramesh Bharathi.

Aal is a remake of the 2008 Hindi film Aamir, which was inspired by the Filipino film Cavite. The film released on 19 September 2014 to negative reviews from critics.
