Vivasayee is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language film directed by M. A. Thirumugam and produced by Sandow M.M.A. Chinnappa Thevar.
The movie stars M.G. Ramachandran as Muthaiya, a young agronomist and farmer who applies innovative sowing techniques to the land of his wealthy father, Pannaiyar Duraiswamy, alongside his devoted wife Sivagami.
Muthaiya's methods aim to significantly increase crop yield tenfold for humanitarian reasons rather than profit. His actions lead him to defend exploited farmers from another powerful and unscrupulous farmer, Pannaiyar Velupandhiyan, resulting in conflict.
The film was released on 1 November 1967, during Diwali, and features M.G. Ramachandran alongside K.R. Vijaya, with supporting roles by M.N. Nambiar, S.A. Ashokan, Nagesh, and Manorama.
