Synopsis
Velvi is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language erotic thriller film written, produced and directed by Jeans.
The film stars newcomers Vishwa and Hasini, with Madhan, Rajpal, Sakthi, Kadhal Sukumar, Agilan, Pandu, R. Sekhar and Sundari playing supporting roles.
The story revolves around the murder of two law college students, Arumugam and Mohan, who were both victims of a gang that terrorized the college girls and boys.
Inspector Rubesh investigates the case and discovers that the victims had met a woman just before their death. Chandru falls in love with Thulasi at first sight and poses as an apprentice lawyer to be with her.
However, he is later revealed to have lied about his intentions, leading to a tumultuous relationship between them. Thulasi eventually seeks revenge against those who wronged her, leading to a series of violent confrontations.
Thulasi is arrested for killing three people, but in court, she reveals that she was motivated by a desire to protect herself from being raped by the men who had abused her. The judge sentences her to death penalty.
The film was released on 10 October 2008.
