Vayasu Ponnu is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language film directed and edited by K. Shankar, written by R. K. Shanmugham, and starring R. Muthuraman, Jai Ganesh, Latha, and Roja Ramani.
The film is based on the novel "Love Birds" by Manian, serialized in Ananda Vikatan, and follows the story of a young heroine who gets attracted to hippie culture after being given revealing clothing by her friend. She faces various challenges, including gang rape, but finds support from a kind and middle-aged man, her elder sister, and a devout Murugan devotee.
The film was released on 2 September 1978 and failed commercially.
