Vasanthakala Paravai (Spring Bird) is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Pavithran and written for his directorial debut.
The movie features Ramesh Aravind and Sarathkumar in its lead roles, with the story revolving around Ravi, a shopkeeper, who falls in love with Uma, a student from a wealthy family.
Their relationship faces opposition when Uma's brother Rajesh attempts to intervene and force them apart. The plot includes elements of elopement, intervention by the family, false accusations leading to arrest, and tragic consequences as Uma tries to protect Ravi.
The film was produced by K. T. Kunjumon and scored by Deva, who won the Cinema Express Award for Best Music Director. It was released on 19 September 1991 and stars Ramesh Aravind, Sarathkumar, and Shali.
