Varusham 16 (Year 16) is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Fazil and starring Karthik and Khushbu in the lead roles.
The film also features supporting performances from Sukumari, V. K. Ramasamy, Janagaraj, Charle, and Vadivukkarasi.
It is a remake of Fazil's own Malayalam film Ennennum Kannettante.
The plot revolves around an immature teenage love story between cousins Kannan and Radhika within a large joint family where Kannan is highly favoured and spoiled.
The conflict arises during the annual village deity festival when Radhika joins her relatives' household, causing friction for Kannan and ultimately leading to him being disliked within the family.
Karthik won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Tamil for his performance in the film.
