Vandichakkaram is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language film directed by K. Vijayan and written by Vinu Chakravarthy.
The story revolves around Gaja, a ruffian who decides to change his ways after falling in love with Vadivu.
Produced by Thirupur Mani, the film features Sivakumar and Saritha in the lead roles. It marked the Tamil debut of Silk Smitha.
The film was released on 29 August 1980 and became a major success for Sivakumar, winning him and Saritha the Best Tamil Actor and Best Tamil Actress awards at the Filmfare Awards South.
It also secured the Third Prize for Best Film at the Tamil Nadu State Film Award.
