Vallarasu

Vallarasu is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by N. Maharajan in his debut.

The film stars Vijayakanth and Devayani, with music composed by Deva.

Released on 14 April 2000, the movie received positive reviews and became a success.

Vallarasu is about an honest Deputy Commissioner of Police who arrests Wasim Khan, a terrorist from Pakistan. His family comprises of his wife Anjali and two children. When Vallarasu comes to know that his father-in-law is a traitor, he kills him. Anjali leaves Vallarasu after she learns that he killed her father.

Vallarasu teams up with disillusioned youths to fight violence. He faces off against R. Kandasamy, a rich man behind the attempts to destabilize the country.
