Synopsis
Valayapathi is a 1952 Indian Tamil-language film directed and produced by T. R. Sundaram.
The movie stars G. Muthukrishnan, Sowcar Janaki (in her Tamil debut), T. A. Jayalakshmi, and K. K. Perumal.
Based on the epic of the same name, it was released on 17 October 1952 during Diwali.
The film received a positive review from the magazine Sivaji but failed at the box-office due to its release date coinciding with the more successful movie Parasakthi.
S. Dakshinamurthi composed the music, while Bharathidasan, Kannadasan, and K. D. Santhanam provided the lyrics.
