Vaamanan is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by I. Ahmed and produced by P. Kabilan of Dream Valley Corporation.
The film stars Jai, Rahman, Priya Anand, Lakshmi Rai, and Santhanam in the lead roles, with Urvashi, Sampath Raj, and Thalaivaasal Vijay playing supporting roles.
Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film score and soundtrack, while Arvind Krishna handled the cinematography and S. Surajkavee edited the film.
The story follows Anand, a carefree man from Salem who comes to Chennai to pursue his dream of becoming an actor with the help of his friend Chandru and his new girlfriend Divya.
Minister Viduthalai is killed by Minister Anbu Chezhiyan, which gets recorded on the tape of an ad film director named Vinoth, leading to a series of events that put Anand at the center of the investigation.
The film was released on 10 July 2009 and marks I. Ahmed's directorial debut, as well as Priya Anand's acting debut.
