Thoothukudi is an Indian Tamil-language action drama film released in 2006.
The film was written and directed by Hari and stars Vishal and newcomer Bhanu, alongside Prabhu, Nadhiya, Vijayakumar, Nassar, and Ganja Karuppu in supporting roles.
The title is derived from the river of the same name, which flows through Thirunelveli and Thoothukudi, where the film is set. The score and soundtrack were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The story revolves around Saravana Perumal, a rich salt trader and iron businessman living in Thoothukudi, and his arch rivals in business, Subbayya and Sakunthala Devi from Tirunelveli. Bharani Puthiran is Saravanan's nephew and heir.
