Thiruppam is an Indian Tamil-language action film released in 1984, directed by R. Krishnamoorthy and produced by K. R. Gangadharan.
The story revolves around Inspector of Police IG Sivaji Ganesan, who plays a honest and brave character, and Prabhu, a young inspector aspiring to be like him. The film also stars Sujatha as a singer returning unexpectedly after leaving Sivaji for another man, carrying her daughter, and Ambika as a press reporter initially trying to engage the attention of both men but eventually falling in love with Prabhu.
The movie is a remake of the 1980 Hindi film Be-Reham. The plot follows Sivaji's on-hands honesty, bravery, and his past love for singer Sujatha, who left him and ran away with someone else. Ambika tries to taunt and bait both men but eventually falls in love with Prabhu.
The cast includes Sivaji Ganesan, Sujatha, Prabhu, and Jaishankar. The film was released on 14 January 1984.
