Synopsis
Thiruneelakantar is a 1939 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Raja Sandow.
The film stars M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar as Thiruneelakantar, with notable performances from Sirukalathur Sama, N. S. Krishnan, T. A. Mathuram, and others.
Based on the life of Tirunilakanta Nayanar, one of the 63 Nayanmars, the film was a significant success upon release.
The soundtrack features music composed by Papanasam Sivan, with songs including "Dheena Karunakaraney" and "Pavazhamaal", which became a cult classic.
