Synopsis
Thirumanam is a 1958 Tamil-language romance film directed by A. Bhimsingh and produced by Valampuri Somanathan.
The film stars Gemini Ganesan and Savitri, and revolves around two brothers from a musical family who refuse to sing for money due to a perceived curse upon them.
One brother leaves his village home in search of work following financial hardship, staying temporarily with a friend whose daughter becomes involved. The story unfolds as the brothers navigate their lives amidst poverty and personal struggles.
The film was released on July 18, 1958, and featured some dance sequences shot in Gevacolor, although it was not a commercial success despite its artistic elements.
