Synopsis
Thirudi is a 2006 Tamil language romance film directed by K. Shankar.
The film stars newcomers Kathir and Dhanya Mary Varghese, with Sundar, Marina, Rajeev, Ponmaran, Gunasekhar, Kuyili, Vadivukkarasi, and Sempuli Jagan playing supporting roles.
Produced by Mahadevan Ganesh and Usha Venkatramani, the film features music by Bharani, cinematography by D. Shankar, and editing by S. Satish.
The story follows Aravind, a karateka who arrives in the village Valliyur to train under master Devaram. There, he falls in love with Thamarai, but their relationship is complicated by the arrival of Ravi, who becomes involved with Poongavanam and later challenges Aravind to a fight.
Thirudi explores themes of love, loyalty, and redemption as Aravind and Thamarai navigate their relationships and confront their enemies. The film was released on 22 December 2006.
