Thennilavu is a 1961 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Sridhar.
The story revolves around mistaken identity where the protagonist, played by Gemini Ganesan (credited as Ganesh), is mistakenly appointed as a manager for a young woman's father's honeymoon trip to Kashmir. This leads to romance blossoming between them, but their happiness is threatened when the actual intended manager arrives in Kashmir.
The film features Gemini Ganesan and Vyjayanthimala in the lead roles, with supporting performances by K. A. Thangavelu, M. N. Nambiar, M. Saroja, and Vasanthi.
Produced through Sridhar's company Chithralaya, "Thennilavu" was filmed primarily in Jammu and Kashmir, also supplementing with locations in Madras (Chennai) and Kodaikanal. The technical crew included composer A. M. Rajah, lyricist Kannadasan, cinematographer A. Vincent, art director Ganga, and editor T. R. Srinivasulu.
