Thanipiravi

Thanippiravi is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language film directed by M. A. Thirumugam and produced by Sandow M. M. A. Chinnappa Thevar.

The movie stars MG Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa in its lead roles, with Ramachandran's character initially sporting a beard and beret inspired by Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara.

The soundtrack features music composed by K. V. Mahadevan with lyrics written by Kannadasan, including the song "Uzhaikkum Kaigale" that highlights Ramachandran's leftist beliefs and emphasizes the role of the worker in society.

Released on September 16, 1966, Thanippiravi had a ten-week theatrical run but was not commercially successful.
