Arun is a haughty young man adopted by Chidambaram and Annapoorani after his biological father sent agents to kill him as an infant. Years later, Arun finds himself entangled with Chitra, a pretty hotel dancer who is also fiercely combative.
A murder attempt on Arun's life by Kali, a hitman sent by rivals, occurs; however, Chidambaram inexplicably lets Kali escape after recognizing him. Confronting his father, Arun learns the shocking truth about his origins and adoption.
Further complicating matters is the revelation that his real mother was Laxmi, an abandoned woman living in Chitra's house at the time of Arun's birth. The film follows Arun as he battles to protect his mother and bring his criminal father and associates to justice.
