Thamizhan

Thamizhan is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Majith and produced by G. Venkateswaran.

The film stars Vijay and debutant Priyanka Chopra, with Revathi, Nassar, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Vivek also playing pivotal roles. The score and soundtrack were composed by D. Imman.

The story follows Surya, a carefree young man who becomes an honest lawyer to avenge his sister and brother-in-law by punishing villains without taking the law in his own hands. He solves several corruption cases while fighting against a criminal boss and makes Indian law basics available as a free book to common people.

Thamizhan was released on 12 April 2002 and received mixed reviews, performing average at the box office.
