Thambi Pondatti is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Panchu Arunachalam.
The story revolves around Somu, an advertising photographer who works with female models, and his family's modern lifestyle. When his elder brother Balu falls in love with Maala, a "modern woman," they get married. This leads the family to search for a bride for Somu. He eventually marries Sumathi, who comes from a strict conservative background.
The film features performances by Rahman, Sukanya, Nizhalgal Ravi, and Ramya Krishnan, with its soundtrack composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
