Thamarai Kulam is a 1959 Indian Tamil-language film directed by Muktha Srinivasan.
The movie stars Sowcar Janaki and V. Gopalakrishnan in the lead roles, with supporting performances from M. R. Radha, N. N. Kannappa, K. Sarangapani, V. S. Raghavan, S. A. Ashokan, Kaka Radhakrishnan, S. N. Lakshmi, Padmini Priyadarshini, and a debut for actor Nagesh.
The plot revolves around a greedy zamindar who bars the villagers from using Thamaraikulam, their village tank. Led by Chellaiah (son of a landowner), the villagers organise a revolution to challenge this tyranny. The story follows his journey to Madras seeking help from his friend Sekhar and details how they navigate complications including the kidnapping and torture of the heroine, as well as the murder of Sekhar.
Thamarai Kulam was released on 14 April 1959 and was written by S. R. Natarajan, produced by him along with S. R. Veerabahu.
