Thai Maaman is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language political satire film directed by Guru Dhanapal.
The movie stars Sathyaraj and Meena in the story of Rasappan, a wealthy but irresponsible landlord who falls in love with his educated niece Meena. Despite their parents' betrothal plans, Meena refuses to marry Rasappan due to his joblessness. Rasappan challenges them to find a decent job and eventually joins Paramasivan's political party to contest for the MLA election against his uncle Velusamy.
Rasappan unexpectedly wins the election and becomes an honest MLA, helping his village people by convincing them to deposit their money in a new bank promoted by Paramasivan. The movie explores themes of politics, family, and social responsibility.
