
Thaamirabharani is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action drama film written and directed by Hari.
The film stars Vishal and newcomer Bhanu in lead roles, alongside Prabhu, Nadhiya, Vijayakumar, Nassar, and Ganja Karuppu in supporting roles.
The score and soundtrack were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The title is derived from the river of the same name, which flows through Thirunelveli and Thoothukudi, where the film is set.
The story revolves around Saravana Perumal, a rich salt trader and iron businessman living in Thoothukudi, and his arch rivals Subbayya and Sakunthala Devi from Tirunelveli. Bharani Puthiran, Saravanan's nephew and heir, is the central character who has completed his graduation and roams with his irrepressible nature.
Thaamirabharani was released on 14 January 2007 during Thai Pongal and became a blockbuster at the box office, running for more than 150 days in theatres. The film was also dubbed into Hindi as Marte Hain Shaan Se.
