Synopsis
Thaai Magalukku Kattiya Thaali is a 1959 Tamil-language film produced, directed, and photographed by R. R. Chandiran.
The story revolves around Sundharam Mudhaliyar, a wealthy man whose daughter Kaveri lives with him, and Sahadevan, an indebted man living with his wife Thanabakkiam and daughter Sundhari.
A central plot point occurs during a dance competition at their child's school function where Sundhari wins first prize. This creates conflict for Sundharam due to perceived caste differences between the families and Sahadevan's financial debt.
The film features M. G. Ramachandran, N. Jamuna, and P. Kannamba in its cast.
