Taj Mahal is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Bharathiraja.

The story revolves around two clashing communities, Thiruppaachi and Sengulam, with a history of enmity between them. The film follows the romance between Maayan and Machakanni, who meet on the day of her engagement and fall in love.
Maayan's marriage is called off when the groom and his family insult Machakanni's family, but their romance continues. However, when her brother finds out about him, tensions rise, and the turned-down bridegroom seeks revenge.
