Sumathi En Sundari is a 1971 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by C. V. Rajendran.
The film stars Sivaji Ganesan and Jayalalithaa in the lead roles, serving as a remake of the 1967 Bengali film "Nayika Sangbad".
The movie was released on April 14th, 1971, and features music composed by M. S. Viswanathan.
The filming took place at Kodaikanal and Thekkady, Kerala for 20 days. An interesting scene was shot with Nagesh riding a skinny horse in reverse, while Ganesan rode a healthier horse, adding humor to the scene.
