Sringaram is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language period drama film directed by Sharada Ramanathan and co-written by Indra Soundar Rajan.
The film stars Aditi Rao Hydari in her Tamil film debut, alongside Manoj K. Jayan, Hamsa Moily, and Y. Gee Mahendra.
Set between the 1920s and 1950s, the story follows a Devadasi named Madhura, who is exploited for her dancing skills in temples.
The film's narrative begins with Varshini, a Bharathanatiyam dancer, being invited to meet a temple dancer named Kama at the Brihadeeshvara Temple on the eve of India's declaration as a republic.
