Sorgam is a 1970 Indian Tamil-language film directed by T. R. Ramanna.
The movie stars Sivaji Ganesan, K. R. Vijaya, Rajasree, and features performances from R. Muthuraman and K. Balaji.
The story revolves around three graduates: Kannan (Sivaji Ganesan), Sampath (also played by Sivaji Ganesan in one role), and Shankar (K. R. Vijaya).
Shankar initially attracts Vimala (Rajasree) with his inherent goodness before they marry, but as he becomes wealthy through work, his moral character erodes.
The differing paths of the three characters lead to significant conflicts, ultimately resulting in Shankar's change of heart and his help in apprehending Sampath and others involved.
Sorgam was released on 29 October 1970 and became a major success, running for over 100 days at the box office.
